Carols of Christmas

Hello Everyone,

Christmas comes round early for crafters, and Stampin’ UP! have released a new stamp set to help us get started.

This is Carols of Christmas and is available as a bundle with coordinating dies.

I have used traditional green and red for this project.

The card base is made from Tranquil Tide card stock.

I used the matching dies in the bundle to create a decorative white layer. I wanted to pull in some red so I cut a piece a fraction smaller to sit behind it.

The sentiment was stamped in Tranquil Tide ink, die cut with a layering square framelit and then added to a Real Red scalloped square.

The baubles were stamped on to the card with Smoky Slate ink. I stamped these again on to some scrap with Garden Green ink and die cut them. These were added to the card with mini dimensionals.

Finally, I added some pine boughs with I die cut from Pear Pizzazz card stock.

I hope you enjoyed this project. You can shop now by clicking on the supply links below.

Bits n Pieces

Good Morning,

I wanted to used some different colours, so I took some inspiration from Stampin’ UP!

The colours used are Crushed Curry, Calypso Coral and Tranquil Tide.

I stamped the sketchy flower from the Pieces and Patterns stamp set on to some Whisper White card.

I added two strips of Calypso Coral ombre ribbon.

The sentiment was made into a “rosette”. The starburst punch came in handy to help create this effect. I added “tails” using Calypso Coral card.

I hope you liked this project. The supplies used are listed and linked below.

Pick a Pattern

Hey Everyone,

How about this for a guy card? Super simple to make too.

A piece of designer paper from the Pick a Pattern collection was cut the 4 by 5 3/4 inches.

Some black bakers twine was tied around the paper before adhering it to a black card base.

The sentiment was stamped in Crushed Curry ink and cut with 1-1/2 inch punch. I layered this on a black die cut circle and then on to some card stock cut with the starburst punch.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked below.

Consider Yourself…

Hey there,

Pink and black are a classic combination. I have used Rose Red card stock to make the card base.

Usually, I use narrow borders when cutting layers, but I wanted the pink to show through. I picked out some DSP from the Pick A Pattern collection.

I also used a piece of Color Theory DSP which I wrapped with black mini sequin trim and tied in a knot.

The sentiment was stamped in black ink and cut with the starburst punch. I added some stamped detail using the Eastern Beauty set.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked below.

Emerald Friend

Hi there,

For today’s project I have made use of the Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate to add interest.

The card base is made from Emerald Envy card stock.

A Whisper White layer was die cut with the Lovely Words “friend” thinlit.

A piece was foiled acetate was cut a little smaller and positioned to allow a Layering Oval die to be lined up over the word, taped in place and then die cut.

The acetate was adhered in place with glue dots “hidden” behind a foiled dot.

Using the same Layering Oval and a larger Scalloped Oval, I cut a Lemon Lime Twist frame. Some multi purpose glue was used to adhere this to the card.

To finish, I added a bow tied from Emerald Envy grosgrain ribbon.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked below.

Thinking of You

Hey there Everybody,

In a complete contrast to yesterday, this card is understated but elegant. There are sadly unfortunate occasions where this kind of card is needed.

I cut black card stock lengthways at 4 1/8 inches and then scored the width at 5 7/8 inches to make the card base.

The background layer of Very Vanilla card stock was embossed with the Petal Burst embossing folder.

For the centre piece, I stamped the sentiment in clear versamark ink then heat embossed this with gold powder. This was cut out with the Starburst punch and adhered to a Vanilla Stitched Circle die cut.

A scalloped circle was then die cut from black card stock. Before adhering the sentiment, I attached some Metallic Edge ribbon, which I then wrapped around the background layer before adding to the card base.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The products used are listed and linked to the shop below.
