Creating Floral Cards with Punches

Hello Everyone,

I wanted to bring you some cards that feature some of the amazing punches!

My personal favourites are the florals and foliage.

Here I am using the Medium Daisy, Small Bloom and Sprig Punches.

See how I made this card in my video tutorial….

The Rectangular Postage Stamp punch worked well with the sentiment from the Fancy Phrases stamp set.

Here is the original pink version ….

And here is another version I made for a colour challenge.

I hope you enjoyed this project.

All the “C”s Colour Challenge

Hello Everyone,

Wow… What a challenge this was!

I was completely thrown by the Coastal Cabana but I like the end result! Ideally I think I would have used this as my layer instead of the Crushed Curry!

See how I made this card in my video tutorial….

I’m still unsure whether I prefer the Coastal Cabana or Crushed Curry resin dots – what do you think?

I hope you enjoyed this project.

I chose to make my project using these fantastic products!

The Stitched with Whimsy dies added stunning detail to my background layer. The set has 6 dies, 3 squares and 3 rectangles!

The layer was matted with black cardstock. Daffodil Delight ribbon was added before adhering to a Daffodil Delight card base with dimensionals.

The Delicate Petals bundle has some beautiful stamps, but the dies are amazing! The dimensional flowered were easy to create with Basic White and Daffodil Delight cardstock. The stitched lacy details are incredible.

Soft Sea Foam ink was used to stamp over the background too.

The sentiment was stamped in Daffodil Delight ink. This fitted nicely in the Double Oval punch. I love the wavy edge rather than a scallop.

I used the Black Matte Dots for the centres which pulled in the black layering. The matte finish makes these perfect for male cards too.

Here’s a close up of those stitched details!

I hope you enjoyed this project.

Inspire.Create Sketch Challenge with the Vine Design Bundle

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to my blog. Today I am sharing a project that I have used as my entry for the Inspire.Create challenge.

This time it’s a sketch challenge. The design team have made some wonderful samples as inspiration. You can see them here.

And this is what I created!

When I saw the circle in the sketch, I knew I wanted to use the Vine Design Bundle for my project!

I used blending brushes to add some colour to the detailed die cut.

The flowers were stamped with Seaside Spray ink and also die cut for layering over the top.

See how the card was put together in my video tutorial….

The label me fancy punch was perfect for cutting the sentiment.

Rhinestones were added to the centre of each flower. These could be substituted with pearls or other embellishments.

This sample used Rococo Rose. Which is your favourite?

I hope you enjoyed this project.

Project Share Project Blog Hop – Fancy Fold Card

Good Morning Everybody,

Welcome to this month’s Project Share Project blog hop.

Links the other Project Share Project Fancy Folds are below, or use the next button at the bottom of this post!

Gez Carpenter: Nigezza Creates

Heather Forgan: Stamp With Nellie

Jill Chapman: Paper Daisy Crafting

This month’s theme really got me thinking….. Many of you will know I’m not one for anything fancy, but nevertheless, I have managed to make this card!

Measurements (inches):

Whisper White Base card 5-7/8 x 6-1/4 scored on long side at 4-1/8

DSP 5-3/4 x 4 and 2 pieces 5-3/4 x 2

Whisper White Inner card 5-3/8 x 7-1/4 scored on long side at 3-5/8

DSP 3 pieces 5-1/4 x 3-1/2

If you are using the Stitched So Sweetly dies to add panels, you will also need to cut 4 pieces of DSP 3-5/8 x 2-1/2

You can see how to make this card in my video tutorial….

I love how the different designer series papers work together!

The inside portion folds out. Leave a panel blank for your own handwritten message!

The little bit of extra stamping around the main greeting adds interest without adding bulk.

I hope you enjoyed this project.
